Support Center Teams

Arrendale Support Center teams include training, implementation, networking and interface groups.  Each team is acutely aware of the mission-critical nature of clinical documentation within healthcare. Many Arrendale team members have prior experience as hospital employees and know firsthand the urgency of customer support.

TA+ education consists of unlimited remote training, on-site training at your facility or ours, and the Arrendale training video library.  Transcriptionists, editors and correctionists learn from on-site, hands-on classroom instruction during new system go-lives.  Managerial coaching emphasizes security, user profile maintenance and report generation for system administrators, coordinators, directors and security officers.  AAI’s video training library consists of a dozen short videos that explain specific TA+ applications.  The TA+ training program has been approved by the American Health Information Management Association for 8 (6 Technology and 2 Clinical Data Management) Continuing Education hours for participants. It satisfies the requirements of the AHIMA Technology core educational content area.

Arrendale recognizes that implementation planning is vital for all successful TA+ installations.  Since TA+ often encompasses different workflow for various users within a facility, attention to minute detail is essential.  Likewise, MTSOs have unique needs for each of their physician practice and hospital customers.  During the implementation process GANTT charts are prepared and updated by us to assure that each step is identified, assigned, understood and successfully completed.  An Arrendale implementation manager handles activities including conference call coordination, interface testing and Go-Live date selection.  AAI takes the lead to achieve a smooth start up that accommodates your schedule and minimizes disruption.

The networking team handles connectivity and support for TA+ web applications and client applications, whether located within a healthcare facility, at-home for medical language specialists or off-shore.  Responsibilities include VPN and firewall installation and testing. We load and monitor servers located at your facility or within our secure data center.  Team members are trained in Oracle, automated system monitoring, operating systems and backup protocols.

The growth of interoperability in today’s healthcare environment leads to information sharing via interfaces and EMR integration.  Most common is HL7 inbound and outbound, but Arrendale often completes custom interfaces as well.  We are experienced with interface creation and testing for all major HIS, RIS, EMR, PAS and PACS system interfaces.  Arrendale interface team members may utilize Mirth, the open source interface engine, for interface creation, yielding dramatic financial savings for our customers.  As members of the Health Story Project, we are in step with narrative note creation via dictation within EMRs.
