Functionality and Workflow
TransNet Solo enables efficient documentation with or without an EHR. The software preloads a blank template to get started. Users may configure additional site-specific templates per facility requirements. Templates may include facility logos, fonts and numbered lists. Transcriptionists boost their productivity when using the text replacement automation which inserts multiple words, phrases and even whole paragraphs with just a few keystrokes. Medical, pharmaceutical and standard English spellcheckers ensure the accuracy of typed words. TransNet Solo training is intuitive because the keyboard commands, the general look/feel and shortcuts resemble MS Word. Voice files, accessed from a folder on the PC, provide the audio for TransNet Solo in wav file format or dss format from digital voice recorders. Footpedal stepback and fast forward are configured to 1 second by default for convenience, but may be adjusted.
Special Features
TransNet Solo allows users to securely and automatically email transcript copies. TransNet Solo can accept patient data imported via a csv file to auto-fill standard template fields such as patient name, date of birth, sex and medical record number in each transcript for accuracy and efficiency. The media bar displays audio progress and length of dictation during transcription. The TransNet Solo license includes over 1,200 common abbreviations and text expansions for immediate productivity gains. No third party software is needed.
Security
TransNet Solo requires a complex password (including alpha, numeric, special and capitalized characters) and encrypts all data including transcripts and patient information, unlike MS Word.
